Are you feeling overwhelmed, confused, anxious or low?

We provide therapeutic services grounded in honesty and hope.

We offer you empathy, care, trustworthiness and respect in order to support you in your self-exploration, whether it is a journey over time or a session with a specific focus.

We acknowledge the uniqueness and dignity of every individual, and respect each person’s capacity to develop understanding and experience change.

We recognise you as the expert in your own life and appreciate that you have your own individual history, circumstances, and needs.

We believe in the value of making a space where you can understand your situation and your self better. We understand that experiencing difficulty is a normal part of life, so making that space is a positive choice.

“Between stimulus and response there is a space.

In that space is our power to choose our response.

In our response lies our growth and our freedom.”

I seek to offer a space where you can share thoughts and feelings about your difficulties without judgement; to offer a safe and accepting relationship in which you can explore your situation, understand yourself better and aim to make positive change. I believe that we are all experts on our own life, but problems and difficulties can sometimes leave us feeling disconnected from our own innate resourcefulness, values and meaning. My own experience has led me to believe in the significance of taking time out from life’s distractions to reconnect with our inner self, as a way of finding ways forward that make sense to us.

“Let yourself be drawn by the stronger pull of that which you truly love.”

I see counselling as a collaboration which can bring you new perspectives and freedom from long-held patterns. Rather than trying to force inner changes, I have experienced how self-knowledge, particularly in relation to the impact of the past on the present, can naturally lead to change and a sense of release. My aim is to provide the acceptance and compassion that you may be struggling to give to yourself, allowing you to explore your inner landscape. A true therapeutic relationship is unique because it goes beyond all the usual human judgements and allows interaction on a completely different level.

“Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing there is a field. I’ll meet you there.” Rumi
